In this video I show you how to use the traditional pasta comb (Pettine) to create some pasta shapes, like garganelli, rigatini, and cavatelli.
What is a pettine?
Rarely seen outside of Italy, pasta combs were originally used to make garganelli or maccheroni.
These handmade pasta combs are made from restored 100 year-old textile combs, in the iconic countryside of Modena, Italy.
Each piece is unique and expertly handcrafted in the workshop of Marco Galavotti.
Not only a beautiful pasta tool, but a unique piece of Italian history.
Hope you enjoy the video and I can't wait to see your creations.
